Sway leverages the expertise and top notch hardware to ensure that the integrity of your data is kept intact.
At Sway, we recognize that remaining secure involves active monitoring, constant improvements, and building on the knowledge that others have worked to discover. Whether it be through services provided by Amazon Web Services and MongoLab or the open source software of StrongLoop, we try to incorporate as many tools as possible to ensure Sway remains a secure and trustworthy service.
In addition to implementing features that increase security, we maintain best practices on the backend to ensure your account remains secure. We monitor sessions to restrict access of your account appropriately. Most importantly, we actively review our code for potential security concerns (in addition to evaluating all user feedback) so that we can address any issues as quickly as they arise. Also, remember that we are all bound to our privacy statement
, which will ensure your data is not misused.
We use the same 256-bit SSL encryption as your bank, ensured by third-party experts such as Comodo. All data is sent over the network in secure HTTP (HTTPS) sessions, and we actively encrypt personally identifiable information.
Our data centers are managed in alignment with security best practices and a variety of IT security standards, including SOC 1/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402, SOC 2, SOC 3, and PCI DSS Level 1.
Why does Sway need my bank login information?
We need your login username and passwords so that we can help you manage your accounts. We use this information to establish a secure connection with your financial institution. This enables us to programmatically analyze and send you your recent account activity.
How secure is my login information that I enter on Sway?
Your login usernames and passwords are handled entirely by industry experts Plaid and Intuit, who use separate databases with multi-layered hardware and software encryption. Read more about their security practices >
What if I choose not to connect my banks?
